Hey there, I'm Alex, a nineteen-year-old university student looking to make a change for the better in my life.

today, while running, I hit the zone.

And I was just wondering, does anyone ever go for a run when they are absolutely ravenous, and then come home only to feel like you could never eat anything? This always happens to me.

As per usual, I’m getting chills again. I’m not sure what about running makes that happen to me.

mmmm, makes me want a kiwi.

Last night I tried something a little different for my race training, and actually really enjoyed it! To start off, I jogged to a school field near my house, and up and down the length of a “ridge” in the field to get in some hill practice. After that, I ran through my neighbourhood doing 1 minute sprints and 1 minute walks, and alternated those two eight times. When that was done, I ran back home from where I ended up.

I don’t know if I was just high on life or something, but I promptly decided to do a quick yoga routine in my backyard as a cool down. It was very peaceful because there was a light breeze and the sound of our pond’s waterfall was very calming. Luckily it was already dark out, because I think the neighbours may have wondered why I was doing such weird poses.

All in all, a great way to end my day.
